@lliance Technologies™ introduces the new 55 Watt Mid-Power and 30 Watt Low-Power AMD Opteron 64 bit processors. This series of processors is ideal for High Performance Computing (HPC) and other applications in which power consumption and thermal dissipation are key factors. The Low-Power series of processors have the full computing performance of the identical higher power counterpart and can be deployed in these areas without sacrificing computing power. @lliance Technologies is now offering Clustered systems and Workstations based on the new series of processors.

@lliance Technologies™ clustered systems for HPC applications can be deployed in dense computer systems where current infrastructure can not support the energy requirements and heat generation of other modern processors. The Mid-Power and Low-Power series can allow systems to be deployed without significant investment in power and cooling upgrades.

Workstations based on the Low-Power series can be deployed in areas where cooling airflow and/or the associated acoustic noise are significant considerations. The Low-Power parts allow for a reduction in the required cooling airflow while still providing a high performance solution. The reduction in airflow allows for a decrease in noise, making the @lliance Low-Power workstation ideal for noise sensitive environments. Additionally, in environments where air particulate is a problem, the new @lliance Low-Power workstations with their minimal airflow requirements can provide a solution less prone to failure in dusty applications.
